Semisextile (30°)
Orb: 3°
Subtle friction between neighboring signs — the whisper of an aspect.
Geometry
30° apart — one sign apart. Planets in adjacent signs, which share nothing in common (Aries/Taurus, Pisces/Aries, etc).
What it does
The smallest of the minor aspects we read. Semisextiles produce a low-grade hum of incompatibility — usually too subtle to be the headline of a chart, but enough to add texture. Often felt as 'I know this thing exists but I never quite use it.'
Example in a chart
Sun semisextile Mercury (very common — Mercury never strays more than 28° from the Sun): thoughts and identity are close but not aligned. Most people have this and never notice.
When it forms in the current sky
Mostly background — rarely strong enough to drive a moment on its own.
