How Zoria calculates your chart

Real astronomy, honestly shown.

No hand-waving. Every placement, house and aspect Zoria shows you comes from real planetary positions computed with the Swiss Ephemeris — the same data astronomers use. Here is exactly how we do it.

Houses: the Placidus system

We divide the sky into twelve houses using the Placidus system — the most widely used method in modern astrology. It splits the time each degree of the zodiac takes to climb from the horizon to the midheaven, so your houses reflect the exact moment and place you were born. Shift the birth time by a few minutes and the cusps move — that precision is the point.

Aspects: the angles between planets

An aspect is a meaningful angle between two planets. We measure the real angular distance and count an aspect only when it falls within a set tolerance — the “orb”. The tighter the orb, the stronger the effect.

The five major aspects we track, with the orb we allow:

Which planets we use

We track the Sun and Moon, the personal planets Mercury, Venus and Mars, the social planets Jupiter and Saturn, and the generational planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto — plus your Ascendant and Midheaven, the two most personal angles in the chart.

Where AI fits — and where it does not

The numbers are never invented. Astronomy computes your positions, houses and aspects exactly; AI only turns that math into warm, readable guidance. If the sky did not say it, Zoria does not either.
