Mercury is your cognitive style. How fast you think. Whether you talk to think or think to talk. Whether you trust details (Virgo Mercury) or trust intuition (Pisces Mercury). It rules siblings, short trips and contracts because all three are about exchange.
Retrograde
**Mercury goes retrograde 3-4 times a year, ~3 weeks each.** Communication slows. Tech glitches more often. Travel snarls. Old people come back. The classic advice: don't sign contracts, don't buy electronics, do revisit, reconsider, repair. Conventional astrology is heavy on this. Modern practice is calmer: it's mostly a backdrop, not a destiny — pay extra attention to clarity, expect minor friction, don't blame everything on it.
